If you find yourself in Baltimore seeking a memorable dining experience, look no further than Hazelwood Inn. Nestled at 4937 Hazelwood Ave, this charming Italian restaurant has an inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect stage for casual meals with friends or celebratory family gatherings.

Upon entering Hazelwood Inn, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming vibe that's more like a friend’s dining room than a typical restaurant. The ambiance is lively, sometimes channeling a club-like energy in the evenings, where laughter and conversation flow as freely as the wine. The décor strikes a balance between cozy and modern, making it an ideal space for both intimate dinners and group outings.

The real stars of the show, however, are the divine culinary offerings that grace the menu. The lunch menu features a delectable Crock of French Onion Soup — a comforting classic made from scratch and topped with crunchy croutons, all for just US$5.99. If a heartier meal is what you seek, the Chef Salad is an exquisite choice with its ensemble of ham, turkey, an array of cheeses, and a vibrant garden salad, priced at US$13.99.

For dinner, prepare to indulge in a feast that includes the renowned Caesar Salad Tuscany, brimming with fresh ingredients and luxurious seafood like crab balls, shrimp, and salmon, all beautifully presented for US$29.99. The reviews from delighted patrons echo the sentiment that the crabcakes here are some of the best around — consider them a must-try when you’re at Hazelwood Inn. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied.

Don’t forget the kids; the children's menu offers appealing choices like Spaghetti with Meatballs and a classic Cheeseburger with Fries, ensuring even the littlest diners have a taste of Hazelwood’s delightful experience with prices starting from US$6.99.

Patrons consistently rave about their experiences — one word that pops up in reviews is "delicious." Shanna McCullough praises the "hot & fresh" food, highlighting the delicious lamb chops and decadent turtle cheesecake. Mary Brown can't stop returning, sharing her grandson’s delight when he rated his shrimp and crabmeat fettuccine alfredo a solid 9 out of 10!

To further enhance your dining experience, Hazelwood Inn prides itself on attentive service, where the staff, like the charming hostess Diamond, work seamlessly, even during peak hours with large parties. Keep an eye out for fun nightlife vibes that accompany the dining experience, although be prepared for the hustle and bustle that sometimes spills onto the sidewalk — a testament to the lively character of the neighborhood.

In summary, whether you are a local or just passing through, Hazelwood Inn stands as a beacon of genuine Italian fare in a welcoming setting. Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure where every dish tells a story, and every visit is bound to create a lasting memory.

Great warm environment. Service is great. Food is great. Portion size is well worth the money. My first time was early September 2025. The food was so good i went back 2 weeks later and brought more family members with me. My 12 yr old grand son got the shrimp and crabmeat fettuccine alfredo pasta and so did I I asked him to rate his meal from 1 to 10. He rated is a 9. He said it was really good. He was right it was delicious.

Hazelwood Inn has come up in office conversation several times over the years. I was lucky enough to remember it when passing through. Let me start by saying, their crabcakes need to be in all of our crabcake conversations when talking about the best. If you need bigger lump, then you might actually want Alaskan King Crab or lobster or something. Their lumps are absolutely massive. If price is your concern, then you need to consider catching your own crabs. If quantity isn't enough, then you may need to consider gastric surgery. I say this all in light-hearted fun, but the price per quality and quantity can not be beat. The service was outstanding, and our waitress was on point the whole time. The lamb chops were as good as legends foretold. I actually was not interested at first. I tried one, and that almost changed my whole dinner game-plan.

Had a crab cake. Great size, good price. Was it the best ever, no but certainly was not the worst. I would order it again. The crab dip was pretty good. Went around 7pm, it was giving club vibe and a little chaotic. Although walking out folks were smoking weed right outside the door and I was hit with that smell that knocked me back. Also there were teenagers selling candy right at the entrance and I actually saw him walking thru the restaurant later on. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, I just wished the extra stuff wasn't going on.

Diamond was a great hostess. The food took a bit longer than expected because they had large parties of people. No real complaints

Hazelwood Inn is a solid go-to spot in Baltimore County. The prices are great, the drinks are strong, and the food is always on point — fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions. Whether you’re grabbing a bite or just relaxing with a drink, it’s a laid-back place with a comfortable vibe. Service is okay — not bad, just nothing over the top — but everything else makes up for it. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
